When you fully comprehend that there is more to life than just here and now, and you realize that life is just preparation for eternity, you will begin to live differently. You will start living in light of eternity, and that will color how you handle every relationship, tasks, and circumstance. Suddenly many activities, goals and even problems that seemed so important will appear trivial, petty, and unworthy of your attention. The closer you live to God, the smaller everything else appears.

Detox: Day One

Ok, so yesterday was day one of The Master Cleanse and i have to say as a whole it was great and actually pretty easy. I drank 8 servings of the 8 oz lemon juice mixture and drank water throughout the whole day. I found that when i was hungry i just drank 16 oz of the lemon mixture and it really satisfied the feeling of hunger. The mixture is actually really good, it tastes like a spicy lemonade. TRY IT!

Now the only part that was hard yesterday (we will get to this morning) was that my whole family came over and decided to have dinner. It really didn't bother me until they started joking with me about how good the food was and blah blah... it didn't make me hungry it was just annoying. But hey thats all right because i know that i am cleansing my body and just bettering it! :D

I have to say a small bit about the "cleansing" part of it and all i am going to say is that it WORKS trust me! I woke today feeling super cleaned out and skinny! lol You are your bathroom with become great friends! hehe

BUT, i do need to talk about the BAD, and i mean BAD!!!! This morning i did the Salt Water Flush (SWF). Oh my goodness it was terrible! 32 oz of water + 2 tsp - 1 tbsp of salt + chugging it down= DISGUSTING. I think it might be one of the worst things i have done in a cleanse. I could only do a little over half of the mixture it was just so overwhelming. (but it does work... even just half)

Doing this really does take commitment but it is totally worth it! Just keep telling yourself, "Its not forever just a week or two" and you will be surprised how easy it is! Give it a try even if you only do it for 3 days.

Ok, well thats all for now, more to come!

Detox time

First off I want to say a huge thanks to my Brother for getting my post divider in. Haha. I tried for a long time and couldn't do it but He is the bomb at anything computers and well there is it! Love you bro!

Ok, So yes I am starting the Master Cleanse tomorrow, I have done many cleanses and loved them all and some of the ones I have done are very similar to this one only difference is the use of cayenne pepper. Anyhow, I am big into nutrition and health (and maybe you are thinking, then why are you doing a cleanse aren't they bad?...) I will say you have to be careful and listen to your body. Some people can handle this type of stuff and some can not, but i enjoy it! lol I typically  eat super healthy so this really isn't a big stretch for me to do.... Anyway, this is my plan, I am going on this for 10-12 days max and will then slowly and careful return back to my healthy eating habits, the only caution I have is that I am super active from running daily to workout daily also... which i wasn't quite as intense as I am now the last time I did a major cleanse. So I will be paying very close attention to that and the way my body handles it all. Through my 10-12 days of this I will write about whats going on..... from how I am feeling, the cravings (if any), down to what i notice to be different about this cleanse from the others. Oh yes, the others I have done are:
      Mlis Detox,
      Pure fruit and veggie detox,
and some other random one I got a a health store
I will talk about the changes I notice from day to day and the changes in my body.

I am excited, I really enjoy stuff like this because I believe it is good to be able to get to the point where you can read your body and know when it is hungry and when you just want something because it is there. I don't believe in being creatures of habit and eating can become that for some people and i have been there. Trust me when I say this, it is great to be able to really enjoy food for the true natural flavors the way it was intended to be, and be able to decipher whether you are really hungry or just need some water.

Also a big part of this and what actually got me really interested in cleansing was last year I found out that I had a bad (rotten) gallbladder (most likely from birth) and had to have it removed. This was crazy and the Doctors were actually surprised because usually a 21 yr old dance/runner weighing 115 lbs, who has never been overweight or had any other health things doesn't need a gallbladder removal. Actually my surgeon told me this was his first gallbladder removal and a skinny young girl. So after having that surgery I became curious about health even more so and started research. Without a gallbladder the liver take a lot of stress and has to work over time and therefore takes in a lot of the toxins. From many doctors i have read that they suggest doing a cleanse every 4-6 months to keep my liver clean. But whether you have your gallbladder or not, i still think it can be a good idea if done correctly. ( Just a little background info :D )

So here is goes! :D

Tip: When your hungry drink 8oz glass of water then have your meal, it will help cut down the amount you eat. Remember it take your mind 20 min. to sense that you are eating.

20 days in counting....

Yep thats right only 20 days and will be off visiting my future home for the first time! I can not wait, i wish it was here already.

I have been in contact with a family that has offered to house me for the year. And the crazy part is they seem to fit me PERFECTLY.  I have been praying a believing for so long for the right place with the right people to live with and now it seems that God has done just what i have been praying and more! I started to get nervous about not finding a place (which is stupid because God will always provide when you take the steps He calls you to take) but now I am so at peace not only does it seem like I might have the best place but also a great family to be with while I am away from my own. Everything from girls my age, to one of the loving to run and both of them gym lovers to the fact that they are all about nutrition and in the Dad works with one of the top Nutritionist in Sweden. Talk about God connections!

If nothing else I want to encourage everyone to keep believing and praying because whether it happens in a few day to months or even years God is listening and working on your behalf. Don't let up, keep pressing in and i promise God will show Himself faithful!

God's Masterpiece

This has been on my heart and I love watching it to be reminded of who I really am. Pay attention to when it is said that We are NOT hold God up He is holding us up with His right hand.

Have a great day and begin to let God chisel away those unneeded things. We are His Masterpiece and there is nothing wrong and nothing missing.

Love!

Season of Preparation

I guess it is about time to blog something. I created this blog mainly to keep my family and friends updated on all my wonderful adventures in and around Sweden. I am not moving till August but that doesn't mean that stuff isn't going on now...

I have 27 days till my mom and my Pastor take a trip to Uppsala for a conference and to get all my housing set up. I am so excited! Its weird/awesome to think that next year I will be living there and that this is REALLY happening. Sometimes it feels like I am just creating a "what if" scenario - "What if I moved to Sweden, and what would it be like"- but no it's for real! So yes 27 days till my first visit to my future home... the count down is on!

Then next on the agenda is a Mission trip to Ecuador with my best friend Rachel. This first started out that she was going for a week or so, and then I threw out "hey what if I come" lol So what do you know... We are going and not only for a week but pushing 3 weeks, and just us! We pretty much have everything set up and ready to go.... SO READY TO GO!

I am so amazed with God, He continues to BLOW my mind and the thing I thought I would do He takes them and completely expands them. I have learned to not plan things with my mind but trust in Him and know that He has it all under control.

  • Isaiah 55:8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts and My ways are not your ways."
  • Jeremiah 29:11b "I know what I am doing I have it all planned out- plans to take care of you ,not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for."
So it is preparation time and a growing time. I'm so ready for these adventures and the things God has planned for me.
